Arthur

The recent loss of Arthur from the Marlborough group has brought inevitable sadness, but also some wonderful memories of a gracious and charming gentleman. His son and daughter-in-law have made a generous donation to Arts Together for which we are very grateful, plus a bottle of bubbly, for which some will also be highly grateful! The following is taken from a letter we received the other day.

"I can only thank you for the pleasure which you gave to a very special old man who was so overwhelmed when he realised that he could paint and make mosaics - but never as well as Mary!!!  We even found artwork in Arthur's desk drawers that we had never seen but the work that he was proud of was displayed on his walls which included the recipe chart of the sardines."
