Sybil Amor

Sybil was the first Arts Together volunteer with our Devizes group for 10 years. Lovely lady.

Former Bromham infant school teacher Sybil Amor of Devizes has died aged 82.

Generations of children were taught by Mrs Amor during more than 20 years at St Nicholas School, Bromham. Mrs Amor also belonged to many organisations. She is known to many people in Devizes and Wiltshire and is remembered for her outgoing and fun nature.

She was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the beginning of December and she died at her home on Sunday with her husband and daughter by her side. Read more here: http://www.wiltshiretimes.co.uk/archive/2014/03/06/11054906.Sybil_Amor/?ref=erec

Sybil was an amazing volunteer. She was involved with Arts Together in the initial pilot project with Jean Edmiston. She carried the group for 10 years often stepping in to run sessions and supporting the members over the holiday breaks. She will be sadly missed. Jeff

Dear Sybil, always cheerful and helpful, she will be missed I am sure. Joanna

I only just found a copy of the book she wrote and published 2 days ago and was thinking of her. She was a lovely lady indeed. Belinda
